Laundry Talk!
So, as some of you may know, I am expecting twins :) Not only am I six months pregnant with two babies, I found out a few weeks ago I'm going to have to take it VERY easy until they arrive.
This has me thinking, is someone going to take over my oh-so-dreadful chore of doing the laundry? As for now, I've been instructed not to do it. Hearing you need to go on bedrest for now was NOT music to my ears, but no laundry included in the list of things I can't do, that's another story. Quite frankly, I despise laundry. I probably dislike it more than any other "chore" that comes to mind.
I'm not sure if it's our washer and dyer or just the process of putting the clothes away, but the combination of the two, I do not like. It seems like it take our dryer a full hour to dry any load. I also find myself digging through the dryer during mid-cycle to pull out clothes I don't want to get too dry. I seriously doubt I'm the only woman who feels the need to hang dry completely or partially.
Not only might I not be allowed to do laundry for a few months, but I'm going to have my hands extra full once the twins arrive. I really am not good at appointing others to do my tasks or duties. I've really been thinking of something that would help out both tremendously. If my husband and family are going to help with laundry for now, I'm thinking something quicker that I don't have to worry about over-drying or washing too hard. I also get concerned about the size of ours. I know I often want to shove more in, but I know it won't fit well enough to get it clean. I can imagine my husband wanting to squeeze it in to the brim. You get more done that way, right? Well, only if it actually cleaned when holding a extra full load. It just doesn't as well.
From what I've read, I'm thinking the Samsung Powerfoam Front-load washer and dryer would solve many of this issues with this "chore" that must get done. Everyone needs and wants clean clothes. Maybe santa will come early to our house?
Now, I have a question for you--- Around your home and out of your daily/weekly chores, what appliance would you like to see the biggest improvement in to help simply your life??
If you tell me, you have the chance to win a $100 Best Buy Gift Card!

Defintely a new washer/dryer!!
cherylnitz@yahoo.com
Is there some kind of appliance that would dust all the surfaces in my home? I can't understand how they get so dusty all the time!
I like this washer and dryer too!
newlywedsnextdoor@gmail.com
On the HGTV show "House Hunters" I've seen them show a combo washer/dryer. I'm not exactly sure how it works. If it actually washes and dries the clothes without having to be unloaded, that would definitely be a convenient time-saver.

Ooh, I would love a new washer/dryer! Mine is a stackable washer/dryer and is WAY too small for my family of 4.
cfreeman4701@yahoo.com
I envy those with time efficient washer/dryers but the other chore I despise is ironing. A steamer would also be a fabulous addition to our house!
A Roomba vacuum would make my life so much easier. I have an 85 pound dog with THREE undercoats, and he sheds like it's going out of style. With him and a toddler, I am constantly sweeping.

I would love a new fridge that would clean its self. They have oven that clean them self's.
I'd LOVE a dishwasher that leaves my dishes clean and dry!!
nicolejfoster@yahoo.com
A super cool dishwasher that actually WASHES the dishes and dries them with no dry water spots would be AWESOME! I feel like I spend more time (and back aches) in the kitchen scrubbing dishes clean before putting them into the dishwasher (in fear the dishwasher won't clean them otherwise).
nicolegeorgepeer@gmail.com
My fridge is the "free" on that came with our house 9 years ago. It has outgrown our house with two girls!
One appliance that would make my life easier is a larger dishwasher. With a family of 6, there are always dirty dishes in the sink.
Definitly need a new washer and dryer just like you!
Thanks for the chance to win
TB3400@aol.com
A washer ... currently I have to bang on it and stick a screwdriver in to make it work. Good thing the clothes still come out clean.
A vacuum cleaner! My fiance and I recently moved into our own apartment and we don't have one, but we do have a cat so it's becoming a nightmare! My fiance really wants a dyson ball vacuum.
I also tweeted about the giveaway here: http://twitter.com/#!/sierraphares/status/78569031271063552
My email address is sierrahphares@gmail.com
My vote is for a new dishwasher!! A bigger, quieter dishwasher! They make them now where you can barely here them when they are running!! That's what I need because our kitchen opens up into our living room...and our current one is so loud, we have to turn up the tv when it is on!
woodward.jen@gmail.com
I really hate it when my dishwasher doesn't get all the dishes clean. I want a dishwasher that will get my glasses sparkling/squeaky clean!
definitely a new dishwasher!
dively@clemson.edu
Aside from a way to clean my floors...a new larger washer and dryer would make my life much easier.

milker02@hotmail.com
I would love a new stove or dishwasher!
I would love to see a big improvement in the cooking stove.
(mine just won't cook all by itself.)
my dishwasher needs to be bigger, better and empty itself.
Those are the ones I hope to get once we move. I hear you can put 15 pair of jeans in the washer. Might be a rumor. My husband wears jeans to work. They are SO big and bulky that I seriously fit 3 in one load. That is it. If I could even do 5-6 in one wash, I could at least wash our jeans too!
Would love to find a solution to the laundry, but having a new washer/dryer does make it easier.
I need a new washer and dryer. Can I say mine are like 8 years old.
chaymanj@tampabay.rr.com
I would have to say my least fav chore is dusting but haven't found anything that gets the dust up and keeps it away for more than a day. However, with a 2 year old and 6 months pregnant with twins myself, that washer and dryer sure does sound nice!!
deleted my previous comment b/c I forgot leave email. wareaglegirl30@gmail.com Thanks!
To simplify my life, I'd love a roomba to clean the floors... but I guess those don't mop, do they? Shucks
Brandy
brandy.l.wilson(at)gmail.com
A roomba would be amazing! With a 4 year old, 2 cats (1 is a Maine Coon), and a 110 pound dog, vacuuming seems to be a constant! While we are at it, can I get a robot like Rosie from the Jetsons?! Please and thanks! ;) rose(dot)jennylee(at)yahoo(dot)com
the biggest improvement what I would need in my house would be a stove / oven. Both came built in when the house was built in the late 60's. Yikes. They still do their duty but I would love something energy saving more modern

margauxphillips(at)gmail(dot)com
Two options for me - either an automated vacuum cleaner or a new dryer. we've gone through 2 dryers in the 2 years we've been married - either we've bought some bad quality ones or we've just had some sorry luck!
I would love a bigger dishwasher so I could load more dishes at once.
ashleyfarmer08@yahoo.com
We DEFINITELY need a washer & dryer! Our knobs on our washer don't work and our dryer is OLD and snags (puts holes) in my clothes. LOL

The dishwasher. Currently, our dishwasher doesn't clean our dishes very well. I feel like I have to do a light hand wash on everything before loading it into the dishwasher in order for the dishes to come clean. That set of machines is amazing!!!!! My sister just bought her first house and didn't want to fuss with appliance shopping, which I LOVE doing. After researching a ton, we decided on this set. It is magic I swear! It cleans like a dream, and the dryer senses the weight of your load perfectly. Even if I plug in "45 minutes" on the dryer, it'll often adjust it down to only like 25 minutes if it senses it won't take that long and need that much drying...and they always come out dry, not damp. I highly recommend that set!

But I could definitely use a new washer and dryer. Mine are about 7 years old and they were the cheapest ones to buy at the time.
alieblogs5@yahoo.com
My washer and dryer were free from a coworker (which, I discovered he had a w/d to give away via Twitter! Greatest Twitter story ever, for me anyway!). And while I'm so grateful to have a w/d, and that I didn't have to pay for them, I'd say they're from circa 1989. I'm never quite sure if the washer is actually agitating, and sometimes it takes 2-3 cycles for clothes and towels to get dry. I keep trying to convince my husband we need to replace them, but he doesn't seem to be in as big a hurry as I am...
A extra washer would be great especially with six children.

My fiance and I are living in my grandma's empty house while he goes to grad school, and her dishwasher is way old. A new one would be wonderful!
I would LOVE a new washer, the one I use is at least 10-15 years old and barely washes anymore. There is no gentle cycle, no permanent press, only "WARM", "COLD" and "RINSE" - that's it! I NEED gentle, I need a washer that doesn't shimmy itself across the kitchen when it attempts to rinse the clothes, I need a good washer so that when I wash my 23-mth-old granddaughters clothes they don't go home dirtier than they came.
It is a toss up between the dishwasher and the clothes washer.

My choice would have to be an automatic dishwasher, I know woe is me I have a dishwasher, but I also have a full time job outside of the home as a nurse, long hours, hard job. A new washer would definitely be my choice. Mine isn't very old but a lot of times it doesn't spin all the water out. Sometimes I have to run the spin cycle 2 or 3 times.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I wish I could get a vacuum that would run itself - I know, they make one, but we have dog hair - lots of white dog hair...(sigh) I need a Dyson animal that will run itself (it's the only thing that will pick up MOST of the dog hair in my house). OR - I'd love something that would fold and put away the laundry.

Something that would clean the kitchen floor. I clean it at least 3 times a week!
I too am on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. A new washer would help keep up laundry for our house of 6.
Washer and dryer. Mine are hand me downs, and they work, BUT... the dryer usually takes 2 or 3 cycles to dry. It's a pain! princesschristy1016@yahoo.com
