This is a sponsored review from BlogHer and OLAY.
So, I've I recently blogged about my efforts to take better care of my skin.
I've always been pretty good about wearing some make-up because I have freckles and I was tired of them by the time I was old enough to consider make-up. Along with wearing make-up, I've always been very good and taking it off every night.
After I had a baby, while in the hospital, facial wash wipes changed my world. No more cold water; no more looking for the always misplaced face towel to dry your face; no more getting in bed and having soap around the hairline that you didn't wash off all the way.
After learning there is a simple way to wash, I wondered what else I could save some efforts on, but still keep my face looking presentable and healthy.
One thing I've been bad at for the past few years is RUBBING MY EYES! I actually didn't start putting any concealer under my eyes until about three years ago. I woke up one day and there the dark circles were. However, I think I've probably done ten years worth of damage by rubbing the concealer on :( I have always heard the area around the eyes are one of the most sensitive areas and is usually quick to wear down. Well, unfortunately, I've always thought a quick rub here and there with concealer wouldn't do any harm, but I'm afraid I can already see that it has. Most of the concealers I've used have been in a pot like container. You put your finger in the pot to get the make-up on it and then spread under your eye. There are a few bad things about this. The top two are probably you could have a dirty finger and you are rubbing your eyes. Even if you use a concealer that has a wand to dip, you typically still have to smooth with your finger.
I recently found out about Olay Total Effects Line and Dark Circle Minimizing Brush. Not only does the concealer come in a tube that's pen like, it has 7 anti-aging therapies. So, I thought instead of using a possibly dirty finger to apply concealer, having to wash my finger after applying concealer and ultimately giving myself more wrinkles, why not try a more simple alternative?
Why pile on the products when you can sweep dark circles away?
The tube was much larger than I expected it to be, which I like.
Luckily, I LOVE teaming up with Olay and Blogher! So, if you want to enter to win a $100 Spa Finder gift card, tell me:

I recently discovered tinted moisturizer - 2 steps in one. Liquid base has always been too heavy for me but powder base does not provide enough coverage. Tinted moisturizer provides the coverage I need without the weight or the "cakey" look.
Oh yeah, and it hydrates my skin!
What do you look for to make you beauty routine more convenient?
I really don't have a way of making it more convenient. But I really want to try one of those concealer sticks now!
I am always looking for ways to shorten my beauty routine when I don't have much time. My two musts are evening out my skin tone and something to bring out my eyes.
chad.and.kourtney@gmail.com
Thanks for this!! I have been interested in trying one of those concealer sticks, so I'm glad to hear you like them! Concealer is a must for me-underneath my eyes looks pretty bad if I don't :) Anything that puts concealer on quickly, evenly, and thoroughly is exactly what I want.

I'm always looking to save time. I look for anything that will shorten my beauty routine - I love tinted moisturizer, mascara that also curls lashes, cleansing cloths, etc. =)

Concealer sticks. I've been using them for years and they are quick and effective.

concealer sticks make the morning routine way more convenient and quick

My face wash removes makeup and eye makeup in one wash -- that saves times and effort!
I had to start wearing less eye makeup about a year ago, when I became allergic to literally EVERY product out there! So now here I am, pushing 40, and BARE. YIKES! I guess if I were to look for one more convenient make-up product it would be a NICE lip balm that gives me some color but doesn't bleed all over the place.

Concealer, tinted moisturizer and eyeliner that does not run!
Almay Make Up Remover Pads! The best! So easy and quick!
I like 2-in-1 products & quick make-up remover cloths.
i like 2 in 1 or n in 1 tools, lotions that absorbs quickly helps too.

I simplify my beauty routine by not wearing make-up at all some days! :-)
thanks!

Tinted moisterizer and a pony tail holder is how I simplify my beauty routine!
I've simplified my makeup routine by switching to mineral makeup & mascara. It literally takes me 5 minutes in the morning to get ready, and with a 4 month old in tow, that's perfect! Plus, I love how light it feels on my face. I also shower at night & dry my hair then (the longest thing for me in my beauty routine), so I can just brush, straighten, or pull back & go in the morning, depending on how I'm feeling. I'm a lot less picky about what I look like these days, which is an awesome feeling. :)

I simplify my beauty routine by letting my hair dry naturally and using a tinted moisturizer, mascara and lip gloss on my face.

I normally go with cleaning my face and working that. It keeps my skin nice and I don't have to worry about covering things up.

I am always looking for a good tented lotion that provides enough coverage so that I can skip the foundation step of my make-up routine.
Make up that is easy to apply and doesn't require a lot of blending.
lip gloss!! I used to be a lipstick girl but got tired of the cakey feeling on my lips and needing a mirror to reapply. Thus the lip gloss, goes on quick, leaves my mouth glossy and pretty and I love the twinge of color.
I try to take good care of my skin so that I don't have to worry about covering stuff up. This sounds great!
I would love to try one of those! One of the best "simplify my make up" time savers I've found is using mineral makeup. I personally like the compact rather than the loose because less mess, but the look is so natural and no more blending liquid foundation then powdering over it--one step to a smooth, younger looking me. And, best of all, it has built in SPF 15.
I simplify my routine sometimes by not putting foundation on, and only putting eye-shadow, mascara, and blush on. I can usually get by with these three things.
I don't wash my hair (it's naturally wavy) and instead brush it against the part and then back again for instant volume!
i will just watch my face with soap

I wear very little makeup.

When I find a lipstick that I really like, I buy 3 or 4 tubes and throw old ones away.
I love eye make-up remover!! I remember my mom using vaseline and always thought how gross that must feel!! I also have always washed my face in the morning in the shower. I don't go thru the whole nite process of the ponytail and headband thing!!
I just focus on my eyes by using eyeliner and mascara (since I have blonde lashes). I wash my face with regular bar soap and use Burt's Bees to keep my lips moisturized
multi-tasking products def help speed up the morning routine!
Two words - dry shampoo! It's a great way to get a second day out of your hair without washing and blow drying!

Double duty products are my favorite way to save time.
I can be pretty lazy and if I'm tired I just skip the routine altogether and splash water on my face in the shower the next time I'm in it.

I couldn't live without my Olay Total Effect moisturizer. I starting using Olay in my early twenties. It wasn't Total Effects back then but I did love it.
i actually keep the stuff i use on a daily basis on the bathroom counter,,,so theirs no digging around for stuff and the stuff i only use ocassionally is kept in the closet

My beauty routine is to wake up before everyone else and just spend a few minutes relaxing in a hot shower. The day goes by so much better after that. God Bless.

I make it more convenient by carrying my necessities in a plastic baggie I can access easily anywhere.

clean face with a little blush, some mascara, and lip gloss

I love makeup wipes! Such a time saver!
All-in-one type products!
I wash with Noxzema, moisturize with Clinique, put my hair up, and I'm good to go. I'm not a real make-up person, but on the rare times I do use some, it looks like this product might be really handy, because working nights I ALWAYS have bags and circles!
Sadly, I don't have a beauty routine. I'm in need of some help!

I use a cleanser that moisturizes also.
Two in one just about everything! Less is more is so many areas...beauty included. I don't wear much makeup at all and have come up with so many easy hair-dos too!
I am needing something to cover up the dark circles and wrinkles around my eyes!! That won't "cake" on!
Hmmm, I have to have a facial cleanser that I can also use on my eyes. If I am going to wash my face every night, then it has to serve multiple purposes.
And I also need something for my dark under-eye circles. Good lordy they are dark!
I like finding stuff that looks good no matter what the season and I like makeup that is thin and doesn't feel greasy.
i look for products that have multiple uses
addictedtorodeo at gmail dot com
Oh, I want one of those pens immediately! I also have fallen in love with the facial wipes instead of the soap/water/towel routine. I especially love the ones that are bumpy (for lack of a better word) and supposed to exfoliate!
My secret is drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep.
Thanks for the contest.

Put hair up in a bun or tail and just some lipstick and that should be fine
More convenient? Mine is so fast that I don't think I could simplify any more. I think that trying bronzer would help with my skin tone though.

Any products that do more than one thing and can shorten the steps I take in the morning are great for convenience. My fave is a tinted moisturizer w/spf. It does three things at once, you have to love that! Thanks!

I simplify my routing by not wearing that much make-up. The natural look is better. A tough of mascara, some lip gloss. I love the concealer stick for under my dark circle eyes.
The number one thing I look for is products that actually do what they advertise they will. Then I look for products that serve several purposes. I love my moisturizer slash tint slash SPF.
