This is a sponsored review from BlogHer and Stouffer's.
So, I was thinking the other night about running to the store to get something for dinner. I thought I'll pick up something quick and easy. Then, I thought, why don't I just go get everything in one trip on Sundays?
I've got to get better at planning meals. I just do. Sometimes it's hard. I've always been one that something may sound good one minute and not as good the next. I often feel like I need options. Though we try to eat some fresh foods daily, it's not as easy to keep them around for when you are actually wanting the.
I'm also pretty bad about thinking, oh, I'll wait until Friday night to cook that. Like Friday night is really much different for us! We will enjoy a meal on Friday night just as much as we will on a Tuesday night! I guess for some reason I think if I cook something yummy it's going to take longer and doing it on a Friday night might be better, ya know in case it takes me hours into the night. At least I can sleep in Saturday, right? haha.
Then I got to thinking, I need to prepare things that taste delicious without taking me forever to make! I think after being on my feet at work some during the day, the thought of just standing for an hour to prepare a meal seems draining.
I was hooked up to try the perfect option!
Stouffer's Saute's for Two seem to be a good fit for us! We tried the steak gorgonzola & the grilled chicken and asiago tortelloni.
They were quick and easy to make and delicious as though I spent a much longer time preparing the meal.
I guess the amount that two people eat can vary, but Brent and I paired our meals with a bread & salad. Those three combined made the meal feel pretty gourmet and filled us up! I especially liked the flavor in the grilled chicken and asiago tortelloni. The mushrooms snuck up on me when I emptied the bag into the skillet. Those weren't mentioned on the front of the bag, so I swiftly forked the chunks of them out!

To make any ordinary night become extraordinary, I love to prepare a fancy dessert. With the convenience of Stouffer's Sautes for Two, I'll have more time to prepare desserts and still have time to spend with my loved ones! How cool is that? :)

That's too funny, S handed all the mushrooms to be, but it took him a while to discover they were in there. Crazy since he claims he can taste a mushroom from a mile away!
Doing something that's ordinarily a weekend thing is how we make a weeknight special. Like a run to Home Depot. I know, really special, huh?

To make an ordinary night something special, sometimes we will order a movie on demand and relax after dinner. Or I will make one of my husband's favorite comfort foods as a surprise.
To make any ordinary night special we (usually stay at home to save $$) but we decide to dress up. I will wear something fancy, curl my hair, do my make-up nice, and hubby and I will cook dinner together and enjoy our dinner on our fancy dishes with candles and music. If its nice outside, we will eat on our patio. My favorite date right there!

Both of us are a bit of heath freaks, especially when it comes to food, so we spend quality time by cooking together. Our work hours are often long and unpredictable, but we still make it a point to cook together, especially on weekends, when we often prepare our meals for the week.
